    • "Alexander, Thomas Sullivan's youngest son, enlisted in June 1862, when he was sixteen. He served for three years in Company B under Captain Jasper Eaton, with George W. Stubbs batallion. His unit surrendered near Canton, Mississippi, but Alex was on pass at home to get a horse when the surrender occurred."
